Resurfacing Preparation

First we will begin by performing a full and comprehensive evaluation and assessment of your pool. We’ll determine the extent of the damage and degradation. Then our pool technicians will develop a game plan for your repairs, you can also choose from a range of styles and colors.

OUR 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE MAKES US EXPERTS AT SURFACE PREP!
Surface preparations depend on the bond between the old and new surfaces. This strength bond plays a key role in the new pool surface’s durability. Longevity and performance.

We start by draining and relieving the hydrostatic pressure. The first step is very important, if the hydrostatic pressure is NOT relieved, The pool can crack or pop out of the ground from the ground water pressure.

WHEN IT COMES TO POOL RESURFACING, SURFACE PREPARATION CANNOT BE OVEREMPHASIZED. WE AT PROGRESSIVE POOLS UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF SURFACE PREPARATION IN THE POOL INDUSTRY AND WE USE THE PROVEN METHOD.

If the marcite is solid and adhered to the pool shell we have 2 options! Bond coat and Ultra High pressure water blasting.

If the marcite is loose ( Hollow spots) then we have to remove the loose surface with the Ultra high pressure water blasting.  Next we repair minor chips, cracks and other defects which could compromise the pool’s integrity, Progressive Pools is one of the only companies that use the Ultra high pressure water blaster.
